Can I use an electric blanket?

Do not use the electric blanket on an Air mattress as the heat can cause the air cells to permanently expand and deform. An electric blanket can be used on a static foam mattress if there are no exposed wires, and it operates at below 60°C. Please keep pressure care in mind however, consulting with your doctor or healthcare professional first as an electric blanket will reduce the pressure care properties of the cover.

Can your mattresses be made to a custom size?

Yes, Forté can customise any mattress to suit any bed platform. Customised items will be more expensive than standard sizing and do take longer through production.

Can I trial your mattresses?

Yes, most mattresses are available for trial. Contact Forté or your local distributor to make arrangements

Is Forté NDIS registered?

No, our products must be purchased through our NDIS registered distributors. Contact Forté to be directed to your local/preferred NDIS registered equipment supplier.

How do I order?

If you are an existing customer, please email your order to sales@fortehealthcare.com.au. Our team will process your order and respond with an ETA.

If you have not purchased from Forté before, email sales@fortehealthcare.com.au or call 1300 731 163 to speak with one of our Account Managers who will help you set up an account

How long do your mattresses last for?

Optimal lifespan of a mattress is 8-years in an acute facility application. Mattresses will last much longer in the home environment

Are your vapour permeable pressure care covers waterproof?

Vapour permeable covers are considered waterproof and used throughout hospitals. However, fluid can leak into the mattress in the form of vapour so spills must be cleaned before it turns to vapour.

Do I have to have the hospital style cover?

No, if there are no incontinence or infection risks you can opt for a domestic style quilted pressure care cover.

How do I make a warranty claim?
