Forté Air Mattress Surrounds adapt Air Mattresses to Bed Platforms when there is a sizing discrepancy.

Ensuring compatibility between the clinical design of Medical Air Mattresses and Bed Bases is a highly prevalent issue that can raise significant risks in terms of patient safety, pressure injury likelihood and manual handling. In addition, basic primary care and bed mobility can be impeded due to the typical lack of stability at the Air Mattress Edge when compared to an alternative sleep surface.

Forté Air Mattress Surrounds provide increased stability and mattress edge support by utilizing high specification medical grade foams. This enhances patient safety and reduces injury associated with repositioning and lying at the edge of the surface.

The Air Mattress Surround will provide additional width and/or length to pressure relieving air support surfaces enabling the air support surface to adapt to almost any bed base or configuration with no impact on pressure care performance.

In addition to strengthened sides, infill Panels and foam inserts for wider surfaces complement the pressure care performance of the Air Mattress section and are available in configurations that are suitable for low, medium and high-risk individuals.

Heel and body positioning devices to provide comfortable pressure relief

Sonnet Positioning devices are used to elevate, transfer, place, support or help change the position of an entire body or individual, at-risk body parts to provide pressure care. Common uses of Sonnet positioning devices are to keep bony prominences (such as knees or ankles) from direct contact with another; raise the heels off the support surface; transfer an individual from one surface to another; move an individual up in bed or position limbs to prevent foot contractures and hip rotation; also whilst offering patient comfort and combatting any infection risks.

The range of Forté Sonnet Positioning devices are designed to be simple, cost-effective and provide a consistent level of care. They are manufactured utilising high performance foam technology including Airoform immersion foams and are covered with polyurethane pressure care material with all seams high frequency welded.

Preventative pressure care and comfort seat cushions

Sonnet pressure care cushions have been designed to provide preventative pressure care and comfort for individuals with low to medium risk of obtaining a pressure injury.

Individuals spending extended periods of time in the same seated position and/or anyone with limited mobility is at risk of developing a pressure injury. In addition to risk of pressure injury, sitting in one position for too long can cause discomfort. Pressure care cushions need to be used in these scenarios to reduce pressure at the vulnerable areas and bony prominences such as the Ischial tuberosity (IT), and redistribute this pressure more evenly.

Forté Sonnet cushions provide static immersion therapy and have been designed for specific applications, such as Bariatric, low profile and high profile.
